As you all can tell from Carol's post; I am finally here. I will update you all on things here in Afghanistan later. But for now, here are a few photos from the convoy. There is one of me in the gun turret of the Humvee. The other two are of the camels that delayed us for a few minutes. That fella on the top actually tried to eat our headlight. Chris

That looks like one very scrawny camel. Was it a stray? Did you take it back to HQ and feed it?

Chris,
You look like you are ready to start shooting any minute. Please keep safe and watch your back. Don't let the camels get you.
We miss you already.
Love Daddy
Hey Chris, Jim here. You don't know me. I found yours and your wife's blog searching for adoption information. It happens that I am going to Iraq soon so we have some things in common. I happen to be from Staunton, Virginia which isnt too far from you either.
Anyways, great blog, my wife and I will be visiting it a lot.
We were through out home study when I got the call to goto Iraq so it's a tad rough.
Keep your head down.
-Spc Jim ( no last names sorry )

hey chris this is pam your cousin. I hope that you are doing well and just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you hoping that you are safe. :-)
Heck, if camels are the biggest thing you'll have to worry about while over there, you've got it made! I think you should bring one home with you - a scrawny one might actually fit in your duffel bag. Hey Carol, how do you feel 'bout 2 dogs and a camel?
